Short Box Drill
Place four cones in a three yard by 3 yard square.
Quickly alternating between forward and backward movements is very important in the defensive backfield and allows defenders to quickly make adjustments while guarding against the offensive attack.
Players make quick sharp transitions by alternating between a back peddle and a 45 degree angle cut forward. Players reach each cone one time before finishing through the starting cone.
