Players begin the drill at the intersection of the sideline and the first yard line.
This is a conditioning drill with the purpose of equipping players with better endurance.
Players trace the yard lines of the football field as they snake around from sideline to sideline until they have snaked through the entire field.
To add even more conditioning to this drill, coaches can utilize their whistles to stop players and guide them through up-downs in place, until they release them to continue snaking the field.
