Triple Punch Drill
Position three players with blocking pads around the player. One blocking pad should be directly in front, while the other two are angled around the player on each side.
Teach players to quickly react and punch their hands into their opponents’ chests.
A coach guides the player through the drill by randomly calling out different numbers. Each of the three bags is assigned a number from 1 to 3.
Each time that the coach calls a number, the player quickly punches his hands into the associated pad.
The player stands in a powerful low position with his feet shoulder-width apart. He punches with both his hands open and making contact on the pad at the same time, by starting low and pushing up. Each time a pad is punched, it should be brought up from low to high.
Repeat calling out random numbers for multiple repetitions before the players rotate through the drill.
