Rapid Catch Drill
Place two cones fifteen yards apart. A quarterback or coach stands ten yards away from the cones.
Wide receivers quickly gain practice catching the football in rapid succession through diverse and realistic situations.
Running from right to left, the player runs across the field catching the first pass, and then tossing the ball to the side.
Continuing the drill, players do a 180 and traverse from cone to cone in the opposite direction as the catch their second pass.
After they release the second ball, they turn upfield and receive a lobbed deep pass downfield to conclude the drill.
